Investment Banking School
You may need investment banking school information if you are considering a job in this field. There are many colleges and universities that offer the education you will need to be an investment banker. The minimum you will need is a Bachelor's degree in a financial area, however many investment banking professionals hold MBA degrees. There are also investment banking programs and schools at major universities that can further your education and career goals. One example is the Johnson School at Cornell University.
This school offers the Investment Banking Immersion. This program prepares students for internships with major investment banking firms in New York City. A few graduates have interned in Chicago and Palo Alto also. The participants of this program are to enroll in a special package of courses. Included are two trips to New York City including the Day With a Banker program. This provides students with a strong introduction to the world of investment banking. There is another program included called Week on Wall Street which spans four days and takes students to more than twelve NYC banks.
Indiana University offers an Investment Banking workshop at the Kelley School of Business. This program is by invitation only and gives students the experience and education they need to pursue investment banking as a career. On a consistent basis this program has placed over 60 graduates in full time jobs and over 40 juniors in internship positions. The students from this program are in high demand. Thanks to this program students and employers can network and further their goals. Investment banking is a competitive career field and this workshop helps prepare students for the reality of the job.
There are plenty of other investment banking school programs at universities all over the world that can help you prepare for this career. Any university that offers an MBA program likely has some sort of specialized program for investment banking. If your school offers such a program it is advisable that you apply for it. While your regular degree and even an internship can prepare you for an investment banking career, these intensive programs give you an edge on the competition and in the workforce. Many investment banking firms prefer students who have completed a specialized program such as the ones described above.
